How to Stick With This Magical Training Stuff.

OK, you’ve decided you want to learn this magick stuff, after all, you do need all the help you can get. What you are doing with your life so far isn’t working, so any and all help is welcome. I know that’s what you are thinking because I was in the same boat when I started using magick. The traditional ways were not working, and believe me, I spent fifteen years trying to make the traditional ways work.

I followed all the rules:

· I went to school.

· I got a job.

· I worked hard at that job.

· I found a life partner and started a family.

· I took my yearly one week vacation, if I could afford it.

· I planned for retirement, hoping I could afford it.

I did exactly what I was supposed to do.

And, my life really sucked!

None of my dreams were coming true, and I was really unhappy.

Sound like You? Most people interested in this magick stuff first go through the school of hard knocks before they realize there has to be a better way.

And, that’s the hard part, sticking with it.

You have a lot of new skills to learn and that takes practice.

“OK” you say, “I can do that.  I can practice.  I can stick with this until it starts to work.”

But, can you?  At first you are really excited about changing your world.  You are going to be the master of your life!

You study your magick stuff diligently for about two days, then life gets in the way.  You have to work some overtime, or one of your kids gets sick.  More important things take priority.  You’ll get back to it when life is not so hectic.

Finally!  Life has slowed down a bit.  You can get back to this magick stuff.

And, you start wondering, does this stuff really work?  Am I wasting my time?  I was practicing this stuff earlier and nothing happened, in fact, things got worse.  I had to put out all these fires in my life.  What if all this is simply wishful thinking?

But, you decide you’ll try it again…and you do…for a little while…kinda half-heartedly.  When is this stuff going to work?  I’m bored.  Nothing’s going to come out of this.  This is going to take way too long.

And, you quit.

Let’s start this magick training again, only this time let’s use rituals. I’m not talking about the freaky eye-of-newt, Wicked Witch of the West kind of rituals. I mean rituals you can do any time, at the drop of a hat. Rituals that are fun and full of emotions. Rituals that can be put on auto-pilot. You set them up and forget them.

This time, you will set up a team of supporters. I’m not talking about your friends and neighbors. If they knew what you were doing, they’d think you were crazy and try to talk you out of it. I’m talking about a team of supporters that you create with your new found magick.

Yes, you can use magick to teach you to use magick. You can conjure up your own Teachers.

These Teachers will not come out of the woodwork to teach you what you don’t know. These Teachers will come out of your own head. Your imagination will create these Teachers.

Sound a little spooky, or loony tunes? That’s what I first thought…until I started creating my own support team. Things got a lot easier. I didn’t have to do everything. I did have to practice. I did have to re-charge my Teachers, but as long as I listened to my support team, things started to work. This magick stuff started to get easier.

Once you set up your basic rituals (that’s how you create your support team) you will be ready to take charge!

I use ancient runes for managing my support team. You can use any system you want, you can even create your own system, but I suggest you use a ritual system that is already set up, like runes. That makes it much easier.
